Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe 2013

Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe 2013 scheduled from 23 August to 17 September 2013. The Pakistan in Zimbabwe 2013 tour consist of two Twenty20 International matches, three One Day International matches, and two Test matches. The limited overs matches will be played at the Harare Sports Club while the Test matches will be split between Harare and the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

The series was originally supposed to take place last December but was postponed as it clashed with Pakistan’s tour of India after the two countries decided to resume bilateral cricketing relations.

A space opened up in the schedule for the tour to Zimbabwe as Pakistan and West Indies were unable to find a window for playing Tests against each other, and pared down their series to a bunch of ODIs and Twenty20s. It continues a busy home season for Zimbabwe, who have already hosted Bangladesh and India in the past three months.

The first leg of the tour is at Harare Sports Club in the capital. It will open with the two T20 matches which will be played back-to-back on the first Friday and Saturday of the tour. The ODI matches will be on Tuesday the 27th , Thursday the 29th and Saturday the 31st of August.

The last HSC fixture is the first Test match, which is scheduled to be played from Tuesday the 3rd to Saturday the 7th of September. The tour will then move to Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo for the second Test match. This will run from Tuesday the 10th to Saturday the 14th of September. Pakistan will then depart the next day.

As the tour ends on September 14, the Pakistan players, who are representing Faisalabad Wolves in Champions League Twenty20 in India, will be available when CLT20 starts on September 17. However, few Pakistan players, such as Misbah-ul-Haq, Ahmed Shahzad, Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal, will have to miss the ending part of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in which they are playing for various franchises.
